After receiving an employment offer from the employer supporting you, they must file your H1B visa petition as a 'Change of Status' on your behalf before the deadline. If your H1B visa petition is approved, you will obtain H1B status. You may begin working on an H1B visa on October 1, as authorised by USCIS.
